At Muskegon Maritime Academy, the 2GEN: Legacy Bridge Family Literacy Program connects cadets and caregivers through the power of reading. Rooted in our belief that education is a shared mission, this two-generation approach supports both student and family literacy, offering resources, workshops, and interactive reading experiences that empower families to grow together.

Through weekly literacy nights (10 Week Sessions), home reading kits, and one-on-one coaching, families become active participants in their child’s academic journey—creating a legacy of learning, leadership, and love of literacy.
